What to wear and what to pack

The end of August is the start of low season in Sweden. Weather could be changeable, I’m sure the the Brits and Dutch are used to this. Average weather temperatures in August are around 22 degrees.

We are on an island, so we do expect there to be wind. We suggest you bring a coat or something to keep you warm.

We also suggest that you avoid high heels. The terrain is beach, forest, and rocks. And parts of the weekend will be active!

Wedding Day: Make it fun. Don’t be shy. Wear what makes you feel fabulous and happy. It’s not a formal wedding.

Remember the wind; hats might be blown away!

Sequins are very welcome.

Other days:

Thursday: Smart/casual attire for the welcome dinner in Stockholm (if you’re coming!)

Friday: We will have a BBQ and a barn dance. Dress up but bring a jumper, and flat shoes are again recommended.

Sunday: Pizza brunch: choose your outfit wisely, with some sparkle yet room for pizza belly.

What else do I need to pack?

Mosquito repellent, sun cream, sunglasses, and maybe a raincoat (fingers crossed you don’t need it).

Activities: There is a sauna, and you can swim off the island; the sea temperatures peak in August, so bring a swimsuit.

There’s also cycling, rock climbing, and kayaking, among other activities, so bring trainers if you want to get active.

What will be provided?

Towels and bedding will be provided in each cabin.

Toilet roll.

There is a small shop on the island should you need anything urgent.
